Expert Clinic

Outpatient Clinic for familial gastrointestinal cancer

Our outpatient care is driven by a dedicated multidisciplinary team, including experienced gastroenterologists, nurse practitioners, gastroenterology residents and PhD students.

Our expert center for familial colorectal cancer specializes in the prevention, early detection and treatment of hereditary colorectal cancer syndromes, including Lynch syndrome, Familial Adenomatous Polyposis (FAP) Serrated Polyposis Syndrome (SPS), Peutz-Jeghers Syndrome and Juvenile Polyposis Syndrome. We support patients through regular endoscopic surveillance and tailored treatment strategies aimed at reducing cancer risk. Clinical decisions are made in close collaboration with patients, following a shared decision-making approach. Our clinic is based on the latest research and national and international clinical guidelines, including those from the European FAP Consortium.

To ensure continuity of care, we work closely with pediatric gastroenterologists to support a smooth transition from pediatric to adult care for young patients with hereditary syndromes. As part of this collaboration, our physicians perform joint endoscopic procedures with pediatric specialists to facilitate this process.

Outpatient clinic for large colorectal polyps and early-stage colorectal cancer

Established in 2015, our specialized outpatient clinic focuses on the endoscopic management of complex colorectal polyps and early-stage colorectal cancer. Using advanced techniques such as endoscopic Full-Thickness Resection (eFTR), Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection (ESD) and Endoscopic Intermuscular Dissection (EID), we achieve high rates of complete resection while minimizing the need for surgery. Our expertise in these minimally invasive procedures ensures effective treatment of large and complex polyps, providing patients with favorable outcomes and fast recovery.
